Week 1 Challenges
Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4 has just started! Have you already worked on the challenges of the first week? If you’re having trouble completing all of week 1’s challenges, then check out our little guide!
To get this challenges, you must buy the Battle Pass for Season 4 with 950 V-Bucks.
Challenge 1: Deal Damage with Sniper Rifles to opponents
This challenge is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is find a gun that’s categorized as a Sniper Rifle and deal damage to your opponents. This challenge requires a total of 500 points to be completed. This challenge does not require the player to kill anyone, as damaging the enemy players is good enough.
Challenge 2: Search Chests in Haunted Hills
Haunted Hills is known for its wide location with many nooks and corners to hide various trinkets. In this challenge, the player is tasked to find at least 7 chests located in the Haunted Hills area. Be reminded that the chest locations change every round and they don’t appear all at once. However, if you won’t be able to find and open 7 chests in one round, don’t get disheartened for you can carry the progress to the next round.
The red dots mark the possible chest locations for the Haunted Hills map.
Challenge 3: Use a Port-a-Fort
Perhaps the easiest challenge to complete for the first week of Season 4 challenges is the third challenge which tasks the player to simply use the new Port-a-Fort feature. This port-a-fort grenade allows the player to instantly create a simple watchtower in an instant by simply throwing the grenade to the ground – handy!
Challenge 4: Search F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E Letters
Probably one of the most interesting non-combat challenges for the first week is trying to find and collect all 8 letters that spell out the word FORTNITE. These letters spawn at randomized locations around the map, and they can pick up like crests. However, you can visit each of the potential spawn points and try your luck.
The currently known locations that these letters spawn are in the following:
- Tilted Towers – On the clock tower itself.
- Wailing Woods – On the roof of the central house.
- Superhero Mansion below Lonely Lodge – can be spotted at the very top of the building.
- Lucky Landing – located at the top of the large building in the northeast.
- Haunted Hills – On the eagle grave. This location is also near the potential spawn point for one of the chests in the previous challenge.
- Anarchy – On top of the weathervane of the Red Barn.
- Dusty Divot – located east of the crater, right on the blue power line.
- Containers – near the pack of tomatoes on top of the big shipping container.
- Salty Springs – on the top of the tower overlooking salty.
- Greasy Grove – In the playground near the northwest corner.
- Moisty Mire – Can be spotted by the helicopter, between the big screen.
- Risky Reels – Right on top of the projector.
- Pleasant park – In the middle of the roof.
- West of the racetrack/GUS – On the Triangle of trees.
Challenge 5: Follow the Treasure Map Found in Tomato Town
This is probably one of the hardest challenges for the first week if you don’t have a guide to follow. To start this challenge, you must first scour around Tomato Town to find the map itself. The treasure itself can be found on the east side of Loot Lake where there is a sunken boat sticking out of the water. To complete the challenge, you must scoop up the Battle Star. To complete the challenge easier and faster, you can skip the first part and head directly to Loot Lake to find the Battle Star.
Challenge 6: Pistol Eliminations
This challenge is really hard for the averagely-skilled players as pistols are probably the weakest weapons in the game. This challenge tasks the player to kill at least 3 other players with a pistol – which can be quite tricky.
A player who have not purchased a Season 4 Battle Pass can also compete and take part of the Challenges with the Free Pass Challenge. These challenges are generally easier to obtain but take a lot of time to finish.
This Challenges can be completed to get better level in this season, the premium battle pass is not requested.
Free Pass Challenge 1: Outlive Opponents
Probably one of the longest challenge to complete is this one. Literally, you get a point whenever some other player dies before you. However, you need 1,000 points to complete the challenge.
Free Pass Challenge 2: Play Matches with Friends
A straight-forward challenge where you must party up with your in-game friends and simply join 10 matches together.
Free Pass Challenge 3: Deal Damage to Opponents
A straight-forward challenge where the player is tasked with dealing damage to enemies. To complete this challenge the player is required to get 5,000 points.
Free Pass Challenge 4: Land at different Named Locations
This challenge asks the player to land at 10 differently named locations during airdrop and skydiving modes. Obviously, this challenge can’t be completed in a single game. Dropping on random locations without proper local names also doesn’t count.
Free Pass Challenge 5: Play Matches
Another challenge that is easy to get but takes too long to complete is this one. This challenges the player to join 50 matches. Win or lose doesn’t really matter.
Free Pass Challenge 6: Play matches with at least one elimination
Similar to the challenge above, but with a twist. This one tasks the player to join 10 games and has at least one player killed or eliminated for each game.
Free Pass Challenge 7: Win a Match
A simple and straight-forward challenge. You need to win at least one match to complete this challenge.
